Werrington Skatepark (Peterborough)
Werrington skatepark was designed and built by Wheelscape, opening in 2011. It can be found in the fields next to the school and is solely a transitions based park.
The skatepark is focused around two bowls, one larger and deeper than the other. The larger bowl is longer and thinner and is split into two sections with two kinks separating them. This is then spined with the smaller bowl that also has an extension on one corner. Around the outside of the bowls on the platforms are some ledges and also a three hump roll over set.
This is a nice local park and is a great spot for transition skaters. The surfaces are smooth and there are a lot of little bumps and corners to pump around meaning you wont have to push once. It is also good for beginners and experienced skaters alike as the two bowls can provide a good learning base and step up once you have mastered the basics.
