Prevail Skatepark

Prevail skatepark is Poole’s only indoor skatepark that was opened in 2012. It is made up of bespoke wooden ramps and is set in a large warehouse holding something for every type of rider whether you like transitions or street. There is a large bowl, street section, jump box section, spine section and even a foam pit.

The bowl here is large with a flat bottom and is set at two different depths with the deeper section having a vert extension. The shallower section also has a smaller but equally as tall vert wall that can be used for rolling in and wall rides. Along one of the edges is also a small bowled hip to separate the two halves.

Next to the bowl is the foam pit that has a a roll in to gather speed and a quarter pipe leading into the foam pit for air, and next to this is the street section. The street section here is long and thin multi level course that is bookended with quarter pipes and in between the two is hubbas, ledges, manny pads, flat banks, rails, roll overs, gaps, a wall ride and kickers. There are a lot of lines you can hit here and you can do so by pumping the whole way.

The jump box section is primarily made up of quarter pipes at either end with a series of large jump boxes and roll overs lined up in between them with a raised platform with a manny pad on top. The set up of the spine section is fairly similar with quarter pipes either side of a series of roll overs and spines.

Prevail skatepark is an amazing course with something for everyone of all ability. The surfaces are smooth and with nice flowing lines that you could pump along all day without having to push once. You cold easily spend an entire day here hitting everything and still want to come back for more and it is definitely worth checking out if you are in the area or even to visit for the day if you don’t live nearby.
