Brighton Youth Centre (BYC) Skatepark
Brighton Youth Centre holds Brighton’s only indoor skatepark. But don’t let the name confuse you, it is open to all ages! BYC Skatepark is am indoor timber skatepark with a good selection of well laid out features, and there is a wide offering of activities here too. As well as drop in sessions, tuition is available for a variety of skill levels, private hire, as well as girls only sessions.
The park includes a 4ft halfpipe, ramps and quarterpipes of various sizes, a nice little downrail and bigger hubbas, as well as some flat space with ledges of various heights.
This is a great place to come and learn the ropes in a safe environment under supervision of professionals as well as on those unexpected wet days. Just be sure to check the schedule before you come as there are specific sessions at different times each day.
BYC Skatepark opened in it current form in July 2016, but there has been a permanent facility since around 2002 and ramps for around 30 years.
