Hailsham Skatepark
Hailsham skatepark was designed and built by Wheelscape and opened in 2012. It can be found in the Maurice Thornton playing fields and features both street and transition elements.
The skatepark is split into two runs that both start in the same place, from a hipped quarter pipe. The street run features an earthquake gap, rail and ledge with flat bank and following this is a stair set and flat bank with rail and hubbas that finishes with a flat bank for return. The transition run starts with a jump box and following this is a spine with volcano and roll over either side of it. Finishing the run of is a open sided bowl the sides of which are hipped with quarter pipes off the side.
Hailsham skatepark is a good local park that has a nice mixture of obstacle. Both sections are side by side meaning that you can skate in and out of both sections to create loadsĀ of lines and the surfaces are super smooth as well. It is a good place to come and learn the basics as well as if you are more experienced and after a challenge.
