One Minet Skatepark (Saffron Walden)
One Minet skatepark is a large outdoor concrete park thatĀ is made up of both a transitions section and a small street section and can be found next to the Lord Butler leisure centre.
The bowl section here is made up of three bowls lined up together. At the far side is an old school pool with pool coping and in a figure 8 shape and is spined with the middle bowl. The middle bowl in the line here is wider and more open with metalĀ coping around the edge and is also spined with the third bowl, which again has metal coping and is fairly open and flat bottomed.
The street section here is quite basic and is set on two levels, the upper level having a bowled corner and a stair set with hubbas and rail leading down to the bottom level, as well as a wave set (imagine a stair set with waves) also with hubbas. Along side the bowl section is a small rail run with some basic transitions as well that are aimed more at beginners.
One Minet skatepark is a great local spot that transition skaters up and down the country should make an effort to visit as there are very few places like this. The bowls here have a lot of little corners and bumps to pump around and there are endless lines you can flow around without a push. This skatepark should be high on your list of places to visit.
