Evolution Extreme Skatepark (Deeside Leisure Centre)
04/04/2020 – We have seen numerous reports that Evolution Extreme is being demolished to build a temporary hospital to fight Coronavirus. The Skateparks Project fully supports any necessary actions to fight Coronavirus and save lives. We have also been contacted by locals concerned that the skatepark will not be rebuilt. We are making enquiries to get an official statement on the long-term plans for the skatepark, but appreciate the priority right now is helping those affected by the disease. When appropriate, we intend to encourage the relevant authorities to rebuild the skatepark and will offer our support to achieve this outcome.

Evolution Extreme skatepark is a huge indoor park that can be found inside the Deeside Leisure Centre. It is made up of bespoke wooden ramps and features bowls, transitions and a street run.
The larger bowl here is huge and deep with metal coping around the edges and some nice hips along the edges. There is also a large vert wall running along the long side. Leading off the top platform of this is the start of the rhythm run that starts with a quarter pipe with a roll in inset that opens up onto a jump box, kicker to gap and a roll over that lead straight into the other bowl. This bowl is L-shaped with various corners and hips to pump along and the open side of which opens into the start of the street course.
The street course is huge and starts with a raised platform that has a series of flat banks, quarter pipes, rails, hubbas, gaps and a kicker. Following this is a long flat bank next to a driveway with a rail, hubba and pyramid that then lead into a run that is full of obstacles and finishes with a mini ramp. The obstacles here are flat banks, driveways, rails, hubbas, gaps, extensions and a many pad.
Deeside Leisure Centre skatepark is an amazing facility that has something for everyone of all abilities. There is a wide selection of obstacles here that have been well arranged to create long flowing lines and give the experienced riders a challenge. It is a great place to come and practise the basics and also if you are after a challenge, whether you are from the area or not get yourself down here and check it out.
