Junction4 Skatepark
Junction4 skatepark is an indoor skatepark that can be found just outside Blackburn in Darwen. It is set in a 7,000 sq ft. warehouse with air con and it is made up of bespoke wooden ramps and features both street and transition ramps. There is also an onsite shop, a large chill out room with a pool table and soft furnishings and free car parking
At the back side of the skatepark is a large bowl. It is set at one constant depth with a flat bottom however there are various heights and even a large corner extension. There are also a lot of little corners and bumps around the sides that you can pump around and a large vert wall on the back side for wall rides.
The street section starts off the top platform of the bowl and starts with a series of quarter pipes and flat banks in a line. These open up into a funbox with rail and hubba next to a driveway along side a jump box with a rail. The run finishes off with another wall of quarter pipes and flat banks.
Junction4 skatepark is a great local park with a nice layout and smooth surfaces. The bowl is a big attraction here as it is quite a challenging one and the corner with the large extension is a big draw. It is definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.
Junction4 Skatepark operates as a Community Interest Company.
