Stamford Skatepark
Stamford skatepark was designed and built by Maverick Industries and opened in 2013. It is an all concrete park separated into a street section and a bowl section and can be found in the park (the rec) on North Street.
The street section here is made up of two walls of quarter pipes and flat banks that face each other with a selection of obstacles in between them. Starting at the far side with a jump box, next to a flat bank with rail which is then next to a stair set with hubbas and then some staggered ledges.
The back of the street section is also spined with the bowl section here which is a rectangular one that is set at two different depths and has metal coping around the edges. There is also a roll over opposite an extension on the back side.
Stamford skatepark is a great local spot and has something for everyone of all ability. The surfaces are smooth and the arrangement of the obstacles is well thought out, perfect for practising the basics or if you are more experienced and wanting more of a challenge.
