Frontside Gardens Skatepark

Frontside Gardens was the brain child of a local ramp builder who entered a competition and went on to win and secure funding and a space to build the skatepark. Built from reclaimed materials that were discarded from the construction of the Olympic Games it is a very unique park with a nice vibe.

It was opened in September 2012 and the main feature of this park is the large wooden ramp with a ski jump style ramp leading into it and a bowled out corner, perfect for wall riding, and a half pipe adjacent to this. There is also a wooden street section with some nice, easy lines making use of several ledges and rails with banks and rails at either end.

Frontside Gardens is a great little spot and the owners and locals are really friendly and it doesn’t usually get too busy either but check the Facebook page for opening times and prices as they can vary.
