Wandle Park Skatepark

Opened by Freestyle in March 2012, this skate park is tucked away in a corner of Wandle Park and is a well integrated and nicely balanced street and bowl park. It is a smooth concrete park with a grass patch in the middle and features some interesting and unique lines.

The park consists of three main sections, at one end being a mini ramp with one side that opens up into the rest of the park. These corners lead into banks and quarter pipes that face onto the middle section. This middle section is split into two, with one side featuring a spine and on the other side of the grass being a small pyramid block with adjoining T-block ledge. The final section featuring a bowled quarter pipe, banks and another quarter pipe.

This park does have a heavy BMX influence but there is also a lot for skaters too making this a great all round park. Great for an afternoon session with a lot of line potential and smooth transitions, worth the trip if you are in the area.

Wandle Park tram stop: Exit the tram stop and the park in which the skatepark is situated is in sight.

West Croydon train station: Exit West Croydon station onto Derby Road and head west until you see Roman Way on your left. Follow this road until you see Westfield Road on your right and follow this until the end and the park will be in front of you.

Vicarage Road bus stop: Exit the bus onto Vicarage Road and head north until Wandle Park, in which the skatepark is situated, is in front of you.
