Wellingborough Council needs your support for new skatepark

Wellingborough Council are currently looking for supporters to ensure the skatepark revamp is a success.

Whilst funding has been secured to redevelop the park, they need supporters to help take the project forward and to help secure additional funding to make the improvements even better. Without public interest, it may not go ahead.

The existing skate park is not fit for use in the current state and residents have to travel to use alternative better-equipped facilities. In previous years, residents have demonstrated an interest in supporting the skate park, however due to a lack of commitment were not successful in securing extra funding. The council is encouraging residents to support the campaign in a bid to secure the additional funding needed.

The project will not go ahead without support so please contact Wellingborough Council to offer your thoughts: [email protected] / 01933 231912

We have been in contact with the council and this is a great opportunity. Wellingborough Council are very keen to make the skatepark a success, but unless enough people come forward to assist there is a real risk that this opportunity will be lost.
