Biggleswade Skatepark Complete
August 3, 2020
We are delighted to announce that the Biggleswade Skatepark project is complete. Alex Jordan from The Skateparks Project started assisting Central Bedfordshire Council on the project last year. Though the skatepark opened last month, we delayed the announcement due to a localised spike in Covid cases.
Following confirmation from the council, we can confirm that the skatepark is now open, though we ask you please continue social distancing when using it. We hope there will be an official opening when the world gets back to normal!
The £200,000 project was funded by Central Bedfordshire Council. The new concrete skatepark replaces the previous modular ramps which closed in June 2018. Though The Skateparks Project guided the project throughout, it was designed and built by Maverick with lots of local input. We’re pleased to say that so far the feedback has been fantastic.
