Evolution Skatepark

Evolution skatepark is an all concrete park that can be found in Saltcoats and features both transitions and street elements.

The skatepark starts on one side with a rectangular bowl with metal coping and running off the top deck of this are some street obstacles such as hubbas, rails and a flat bank. These are then on the top deck of the start to the street course which opens with a bowled edge with a stair set inset the leads into a driveway with hipped bank, hubba and rail. Adjacent to this is a small pocket that has a spine with volcano that leads up to a bowled area with various extensions and a taco in the middle of it. Spined to the side of this is also another bowled area that has a pump bump between them.

Evolution skatepark is a great facility and it is one of the only fully supervised outdoor skateparks in the UK. There is something for everyone of all abilities here and it even has floodlights for those late night sessions. The obstacles have been well arranged and are nicely spaced and the surfaces are smooth making it a great place for beginners and experienced skaters alike.
