Daventry Skatepark
Daventry’s Diamond Jubilee skatepark was designed and built by Wheelscape, opening in 2013. It contains both street and transition elements and can be found in the New Street recreational ground.
The skatepark starts on one side with a kinks half pipe the back side of which is extended to form a quarter pipe with an extension and bench that starts the street run. Following this is a pyramid with block, manny pad, rail, ledge and up & down ledge that that lead up to raised level with a stair set with rail, flat bank, euro gap, hubba and bricked wall ride. After this is an open flat area that has a flat bank that curves around to join onto a quarter pipe with a bench. This quarter pipe is the start of the rhythm run here that features a spine, volcano and roll over in a line that lead up to another spine into the half pipe.
Daventry skatepark is a great park that has something for everyone. The layout has been designed to allow skaters to flow around the park in an endless loop and hit every line. There is a decent selection of obstacle and the surfaces are smooth making it perfect for skaters of all ability.
