Shipton under Wychwood Skatepark
Shipton under Wychwood skatepark consists of metal ramps on a concrete base.
The skatepark features a back and forth run with a quarter pipe at each end and a double launch ramp in the middle. Although it is just a small skatepark, the ramps are well proportioned and positioned, and the concrete is smooth despite a few cracks. The park is perhaps less suitable for BMX.
Research suggests the skatepark was installed in 1999, though this is still to be verified. Either way, this is an old skatepark that has been well maintained.
The skatepark also features a bench dedicated to Edward Burrows, one of the original skatepark campaigners who passed away in November 2016 aged 32.
The skatepark is maintained by Shipton under Wychwood parish council.
