Taunton Skatepark
Taunton skatepark was designed and built by Wheelscape, opening in 2010. It can be found in Hamilton Gault Park and is a mixture of transition and street elements.
The transitions section starts on one side with medium sized bowl that is made up of a rectangular section with two circular ones joined onto the end, each part being a different depth. Running around the side of the bowl is a snake run and on the top platform is a ledge. Leading down from the platform is a flat bank with a stair set, rail and an extension that open up onto the street section. The street section here is made up of a driveway with ledge and a manny pad that are next to an up and down kicker and pyramid. Following these is then also a hipped bank with an extension on one side.
Taunton skatepark is a great local park that has something for everyone. There are some nice long flowing lines and the obstacles are well spaced making it a good place for beginners and experienced skaters alike.
