Blantyre Skatepark

Blantyre skatepark is a large all concrete skatepark that can be found next to the leisure centre and mainly features transitions with a small street section.

The main feature of this skatepark is the huge bowl that is a long thing rectangular shape with some hips along the sides and at the end it then splits into two part with a spine down the middle. The bowl is set at various depths and has an extension on one side. On one end of the bowl is a shallower, more mellow rectangular bowl that is aimed more at beginners. Next to this is a small street section that is enclosed with flat banks and bowled edges, in the centre of which is a driveway with a rail and hipped edge.

Blantyre skatepark is a great local spot, especially if you are a transitions skater. The bowl here is a big draw for people from all around and has bumps and corners in all the right places for endless lines. The surfaces are also smooth meaning that it is a great place for beginners and experienced skaters alike.
