Barnsley (Hoyle Mill) Skatepark
Barnsley skatepark was designed and built by Wheelscape, opening in 2014. It is and all concrete skatepark that can be found in Hoyle Mill and has a mixture of street and transition features.
The skatepark starts on one side with a rectangular, open sided bowl that opens up onto the main body of the skatepark. Hipped off one side is a jump box into the bowl and the other is extended along the back wall with a quarter pipe that has an extension and a mouse hole gap. Leading off this is a raised level that is enclosed with a hipped bank and has a wall ride and also a rail and hubba leading down. After this is a large flat area what leads up to a kinked quarter pipe for a return ramp that also features two extensions and a block.
Barnsley skatepark is a great spot and has a bit of something for everyone. The park has been well designed to allow a nice flow between the obstacles and the surfaces are smooth and fast. Overall this is a nice spot and you should check it out if you are in the area.
