Bury St Edmunds Skatepark
Bury St Edmunds skatepark was designed and built by Wheelscape, opening in 2014. It is an all concrete skatepark that can be found next to the leisure centre and has both transitions and street features.
The skatepark starts on one side with an L-shaped bowl, one part of which is rectangular and the other being deeper and more square. There is an oververt on the corner and a hip connecting the two. Next to the bowl is a small quarter pipe that then leads into the street section. The street section here is enclosed in a bowled area and starts with a flat bank that features a stair set, rail, hubba, euro gap and a quarter pipe extension. In the centre is a driveway, hubba and a pyramid set and either side of this are two rails, a double ledge set and a gap.
Bury St Edmunds skateparks is an amazing park with something for everyone. There is a lot of line potential here with some long flowing lines that link up nicely. The selection of obstacles is great and the surfaces are smooth meaning it is a great place to come f you are a beginner or more experienced.
