South Shields Skatepark

South Shields skatepark is an all concrete, transitions based park that can be found in a beautiful spot right on the beach.

The skatepark is split into two sections, the first is centred around a large funbox with hipped banks and a stair set in set. Next to this is a driveway with ledges and curved around the outside of these are two bowled edges. The other half of the skatepark is made up of a spine with two volcanoes either side of it that is surrounded with a continuous, round flat bank and has a quarter pipe inset.

South Shields skatepark is a nice local spot that is popualr with the locals. It has some really nice transitions with bumps and corners in all of the right places meaning you can pump around without having to push once. The combination of endless lines and smooth surfaces makes this a great place to come whether you are a beginner or an experienced skater.
