Blackburn Skatepark
Blackburn skatepark was designed and built by Wheelscape, opening in 2014. It is an all concrete skatepark that features transitions and street elements and can be found in Murrayfield Park.
The skatepark starts on one side with a bowl that has a thin rectangular section that doubles as a mini ramp and is adjoined to a wider section with an oververt. The back side of this is spined with a shallow bowled edge that opens up onto the street run. Following this is a flat bank that leads down a level with a euro gap, stair set, rail and hubbas and after this is a pump bump and hipped bank with a flat bank as the return ramp. Leading off this is another run that has an up and down ledge followed by an up and down kicker with hubba and lead up to a speed bowl with extension and a taco at the end.
Blackburn skatepark is a great local spot that has something for everyone. The skatepark has been well designed to make use of the space and include a decent selection of obstacles. Whether you like street or transitions get down here and check it out.
