Marlborough Skatepark
Marlborough skatepark was designed and built by Maverick Industries opening in 2010. It is an all concrete skatepark, featuring both street and transition elements and can be found on the recreation ground in the centre of town.
The skatepark starts on one side with a small quarter pipe that opens up onto a roll over and jump box set and a flat bank that leads down to a lower level with a hubba. Follow this is a quarter pipe and roll over that are spined with a half pipe on the back side. Running off the side of the lower level section is a long kinked half pipe with a large extension in the back corner.
Marlborough skatepark is a great local spot with a transitions focus. There is a decent selection of obstacles and the surfaces are smooth and fast making it a great place to come whether you are a beginner or a more experienced skater.
